Youth Crew 2015 – Day 12

As much as we love working at our farm, we also love taking field trips to visit other urban farms in Baltimore! Today we ventured over to Whitelock Community Farm and Hidden Harvest Farm. Youth Crew members compared the growing spaces at these other farms to Real Food Farm’s fields and hoophouses. At Whitelock we took time to explore their herb garden, smelling the dill and mint, helped out with weeding their spinach beds, and harvested greens for their market stand – a community member had just come by and cleaned them out!  At Hidden Harvest, we had a blast meeting their beautiful chickens.
